UAE Municipality and Agriculture Department has declared a war against corruption :: Gulf News: "Khalfan Gaith Al Muhairbi, Chairman of the department, told his managers on Tuesday he would not allow department employees to be traders. They should either be government employees or businessmen, he said. The aim is to make sure department employees do not abuse their power by offering favourable treatment to businesses in which they have an interest, sources said. Disclosing that certain officials in the department had more than 46 trading licences, Al Muhairbi said those who were inefficient must quit."
