UAQ Ruler hikes salaries :: Khaleej Times

"The hike which will be effective from June 1, will include civilian and military personnel working in local government departments of Umm Al Quwain emirate," it was announced here yesterday. According to Shaikh Rashid’s order, nationals working in local government institutions of Umm Al Quwain will receive a 25 per cent increase, whereas expatriates will get a 15 per cent hike.
The federal government and most of the individual emirates announced similar hikes a few months ago with specifics to be determined. Those specifics, such as who qualifies as a government employee and/or when the hikes are effective, remain incompletely stated at this time. Please comment if I am mistaken in this assertion.

Here is some analysis and a roundup of the wage hike announcements from two months ago.
