Hypocrisy watch
By now it's old news that Hillary Clinton has been named as Secretary of State in Obama's cabinet. Clinton and Obama both talk about working with other countries as partners.
Let me remind you that it was Hillary Clinton who demonized Dubai -- and by extension the UAE -- in the Dubai Ports World fiasco. It was the administration of George W. Bush that approved the deal. (And former President Bill Clinton who lobbied in favor of the Bush administration's action.)

I remember that well, which is why I was pleased that she did not win the candidacy. It was a shocking piece of political expediency.
I lost all faith in Hillary after her performance over Dubai World. Not at all keen about her appointment into this role.
nzm, I think most of the world is disappointed with her appointment. She is, without a doubt, a tough politician. She is also not the first or the last to attack a foreign party to get support at home, without any personal conviction.
I think what we will see now is a more balanced approach to foreign policy by the US. It would have been nice to have a 'nice' America for a change, but I think this will be just a less evil but just as self-righteous as it has been.
Am I the only one who thinks that anyone who gets a permanent seat at the UN Security Council should integrate global votes into their electoral system?
