Number plates auction to resume on Wed - Khaleej Times

DUBAI — The Dubai Traffic Police Department will, on Wednesday, offer 58 customised car numbers in the D and E codes at an auction to be held at the Grand Hall of the Traffic Division in Al Barsha. Director of the department, Brigadier Mohammed Saif Al Zafeen, said yesterday that 29 three, four and five-digit numbers in the E code and 29 similar numbers in the D code will be on offer. The total base value of these numbers is Dh1,540,000.

That's about $420,000 or about $7,200 per plate. I'll post the results of the auctions when they become available.
