UAE minister is all for democracy - Gulf News

Abu Dhabi: A top UAE minister has said he openly favours 'freedom and democracy' in the Arab world. Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Education, was participating in a discussion with international journalists to be screened at 7 tonight by BBC World.
UPDATE:
The minister said the region needed "justice, equality, freedom of speech" and accountability. "There is a difference between elections and democracy. We have elections in many Arab countries, but do they have democracy?"
