Closing the gender pay gap - The New Economist

Third, the gender pay gap is very small amongst younger working women. Figure 4 in the Commission briefing (Word doc, 426k) shows the median pay gap among full-time workers at about 3% for 18-21 year olds and a miniscule 1% for 22-29 year olds.

Fourth, there is almost no gender gap amongst professionals - a large and growing part of the workforce. Figure 5 of the same report shows it to be around 3-4%, compared with over one-quarter for skilled trades and over one-fifth for managers and senior officials.
