I was reminded of this story by Insta's post on "I married the custodian." Go here for drs. Wartena's life story (he omits the part about being a Dutch Maoist) where you will read,

In 1975 ontmoette hij zijn huidige vrouw, een Surinaamse maatschappelijk werkster.

Which translates as

In 1975, he met its current woman, a Surinamese socially cleaning lady.
