UAE education minister sacks seven officials - Khaleej Times
Beware. We need to be very careful not to create incentives for officials to keep secret any misbehavior they learn of within their organizations. The sackings signal to other officials that keeping secrets may be in their best interest. People, after all, do respond to incentives.
AL AIN - Minister for Education Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan has ordered the sacking of seven officials from the Al Ain Educational Zone (AAEZ) following recent administrative breaches in the zone and for differing with the Dubai Educational Zone. The seven Al Ain officials were not part of the administrative breaches; they helped bring them to light. Apparently, they also sought to shift some blame for the breaches to the Dubai Education Zone.
