Temperatures outside can reach +50 C but inside there will be 21 specially produced computer controlled snowmakers operating in an internal atmosphere which is maintained at a comfortable minus 1.5 Degrees Centigrade (+/- 0.5 Deg. C.) The snow area has an internal volume of almost 10 million cubic feet, making it one of the largest cold rooms in the world. Fresh snow will be added every night of the year, maintaining a snow depth of around 70cm (two and a half feet). Snow will be produced by specially designed machines intended to mimic natural snowfall – 6,000 tonnes of it on the slopes at any one time.
