In a meeting with Ministry of Labour employee the minister said

restrictions will be imposed on the trade licences owned by employees through banning them from having businesses related to the ministry's work nature such as the labour supply agencies, nurseries, marine services, middlemen services, typing centres among others that will be recommended by the committee formed specially to tackle this issue.

At the meeting that took place in Dubai, Dr Al Kaabi said that a total of 950 employees had been promoted in the past five years, representing 98 per cent of the total staff, noting that the promotions will continue but on a more clear and transparent basis.
