Press fears 'abyss' after Hariri death - BBC

The BBC has a roundup of quotes from Arabic and Farsi language papers plus links to background on Hariri.

This quote is disturbing, but perhaps something is lost in editing or translation.

The message is clear. It says that Lebanon getting close to the US and France is a red line that will lead to destruction, chaos, and instability, transforming it into a country that is failing, even worse, a smaller version of what is taking place in Iraq.

Faces on campus today are very sad. The Syrian student club expressed its sympathy to all Lebanese students and faculty. It is a great shock to many.
