Job mobility for expats just got a big shot in the arm in the UAE. The article reveals just how far the UAE has to go to remove the government-created obstacles to job changing in the UAE.

As I have started so many times over the last year, the virtual inability of expats to change jobs is one of the things that creates such an unlevel playing field for Emiratis seeking employment in the private sector. Pity the poor Emirati who cannot make the same "promise" to the firm to be committed not to change jobs.
