DUBAI - If true kindness is about providing what is missed the most, 200 fishing families of a Thai village that lost their tools of livelihood to the tsunami waves will be among the fortunate to receive it. UAE's Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Foundation will be sending them fishing boats and the essential gear to help in their rehabilitation. The foundation, set up by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, will send eight fully equipped mobile clinics and other items for relief and rehabilitation to Thailand and Indonesia, Ibrahim Bu Melha, Attorney-General and Chairman of the foundation's Board of Trustees, has said. The assistance will be in addition to Dh5.5 million that has been donated to the two countries. Moreover, Bu Melha said another Dh4 million will be specially allocated to rehabilitate families and repair the infrastructure affected by the disaster in the two countries.
