Nonpayment of wages - Gulf News

Abu Dhabi: Government contractors who do not pay their workers regularly because clients have not paid them will no longer be able to use this as an excuse. Government departments were ordered on Sunday to pay companies and contractors on time for work done for the government.

There are daily reports in local papers about disputes between employers and low-wage employees over non-payment of wages. Future posts will have more to say.
